How to find us…
By Train
If arriving by train we are a six minute walk from Canterbury East and a 12 minute walk from Canterbury West.
By Car (Parking Information)
If you are arriving by car there are plenty of options:
You can park at the nearby Canterbury Aldi (St Andrews Cl, Canterbury CT1 2LN) FREE if you purchase something in store (approx two mins walk). You can exit the car park and use the underpass to cross the road safely.
Or You can park in the indoor Castle Street multi-storey car park which is cheaper and around a 2 minute walk. You can find a video pinned to our instagram to show you how to get to us from this carpark. If you park on the lower ground floor over to the right hand side near the exit barrier - you can pay on your return. Exit near the barrier on foot which will bring you onto Rosemary Lane. If you then cross over the road and walk down the walled apartments on your left then turn first left you will come into a residential area with a little wooden foot bridge in front of you. Walk over the foot bridge and turn left into Tannery Square - past the Bellway building offices and we are on the left (the board will be out).
Other nearby car parks are Castle Street Open Car Park (recommended) (approx four minutes walk) - after parking you should cross over the road so that the multi-storey car park is in front of you. At the left hand side of the multi-storey you will see Gas Street. Turn right onto Gas Street and follow the road to the end. Turn left then right. Walk all the way along the wall which runs parallel to the main road until you come to the river. Walk over the little foot bridge, keeping right til you see the sign on the right hand side ‘The Rope Walk’ carry on keeping right and follow the rope walk until you see a walk way that leads into Tannery Square, you will see another commercial premises offering holistic beauty and massage, keep walking past this with this property on your right.
Once in the Square we are located on the right hand side. ‘The Derma Clinic Kent’ frosting and signage clearly show our location with the number 5 on the glass. There are two grey flower planters either side of the doorway. There will also be a pavement sign outside. This area is predominantly a residential area and there are workmen completing works nearby so please do not worry if you see this and feel you are in the wrong location.
Please do use google maps this will really help, if you really struggle please call us and leave a message but please be mindful that on some clinic days we do not always have admin cover and so may be with other patients.
Alternatively you can use the City Centre Multi Story (approx eight minutes walk) and grab the park and ride from any location.
There is no parking availability on the Tannery itself without fear of a ticket.
On Foot
If you fancy a pleasant walk before and after your visit, Toddlers Cove Car Park is a lovely walk beside the river through a park and directly into Tannery Wharf. It's also the cheapest with the first half hour free; again about an eight minute walk.
The above locations are all easily found on google maps, so please do utilise this tool if it’s your first visit. If you are on social media we have a how to find us reel pinned to our top posts to help. Please note that on days where we have no admin support we are often back to back treating patients. Therefore we politely ask that you pre plan your journey if this is your first visit to ensure you find us in time. We cannot always answer the phone when we are treating patients. Any late arrivals of 15 minutes or more will mean we may have to reschedule your appointment to another date and time.
